Building the Church on the Arena of Scripture

Greetings to the beloved of Kerith in the name of Jesus Christ, who is the Head of the Church!

We know that the apostolic era marks the beginning of the New Testament Church. Filled with the Holy Spirit, the disciples preached the Word. Those who heard the Word obeyed and received it. Those who obeyed gathered together to worship the Lord. The Church that began in this manner was a growing Church. In Acts 6:7, we read: "Then the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith." Thus, through the disciples, the Church was formed in Jerusalem.

Continuously, Paul proclaimed the Word of the Lord. When Paul preached God's Word in Philippi, Lydia received the Lord. A church was born there. From Paul's epistle to the Philippians, we learn that the Philippian church grew rapidly and became established in faith. As Paul continually sowed the seed of God's Word during his missionary journeys, the churches grew and multiplied. In Acts 19:20, we read: "So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed." This is because the Word of God is powerful. The Lord Himself declares this in Isaiah 55:11: "So shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth; It shall not return to me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it."

Following the apostolic age, many men of God sowed the Scripture. William Tyndale was the one who brought the hand-written English Bible into printed form. Making the Scriptures accessible to the hands of common people, he was tied to a stake and burned to death in England on October 6, 1536. As a result of his sacrifice, the Bible Society was born in England.

Subsequently, as many missionaries came to India and sowed the Word of God, churches were established and grew. From the churches formed in this way, ministers today are stepping out and sowing the Lord's Word in various states across India, causing churches to continually emerge. As a movement, we are actively carrying out this primary ministry. Paul notes in 2 Timothy 3:17 that the Word of God is the reason a man of God becomes thoroughly equipped for every good work. Today, there is a great need for leaders like Paul and Timothy who will build and establish churches.

Beloved Young People! Each one of you must become leaders who build churches. For this, give utmost priority to the Word of God in your youth. Go forth to proclaim the Word of Scripture. Let new churches be established across the entire nation!

Attending the fasting meeting held in the Tenkasi region in August and the fasting prayer camp in Tirupattur brought immense spiritual blessing to everyone's life. The Lord blessed the youth gatherings held on August 15 in Deep Meenakshipuram and August 23 in Padikuppam. May the Lord bless our leaders who prayed and labored for these meetings.

Please uphold us in your prayers so that the Lord may bless the youth gatherings scheduled for September and the ministry visits to Jharkhand, producing fruitful results. May the Lord grant us grace to grow and abound in the Word of God. Amen.

May the grace of God be with you.

In Christ's Service,

J. Daniel Arulmani

The Church's source of life is His holy Word."
