Greetings with love to all dear Kerith readers, Prayer group leaders & Youths in
the name of Lord Jesus Christ. We thank the Lord Jesus Christ for keeping us in the spotlight
from past 9 months. For the past 9 months he has helped us to learn 9 periods from the Old Testament. From this month onwards, we are going to look at the New Testament for the next three months in three sections, the period of the Gospels, the period of the Church and the period of the ministry.
The second part of the Bible is called the New Testament. This passage of 27 books can be seen as a continuation of the Old Testament with something new. This is not a new sequel. This is the continuation part of the children of the Lord from the Old Testament history. The English word
Testament comes from Latin word called "testāmentum" & the word "diatheke" in Greek means
Covenant. The Old Testament speaks of God's covenant with the people of Israel. Those who obeyed the laws of the Old Testament were called children of the Lord. We are called to be as scribes because we walk according to the scriptures. Before the birth of Jesus Christ about 600 years ago, prophet Jeremiah explained the relationship between God and the people who obeyed the Scriptures. He declared that as the New Covenant (Jeremiah 31:31-34). ). The authors of the New Testament proclaimed the works of the Lord in Jesus Christ in the New Testament (1 Corinthians 8:7-13, 9:15-17, 11:25 & 12:24-27).
Paul writes that this life-giving new covenant was given by the Holy Spirit. All the books
of the New Testament were written in the first century AD. All of these books reveal Jesus Christ as the Messiah and Savior of the world. He calls us to be the partakers of this new covenant, to obey the Savior of the world and his commands and to be his disciples, to continue in history. We and our lives are not ordinary. We believe that this month's book of Kerith will lead us to the continuation of the Gospels on the life of Jesus Christ. Let us read with prayer and come back as a disciple of Jesus. Let us live as images that reflect Christ and His gospel. May the Lord help us for this.Amen.
