Dearly beloved in Christ,
Greetings in Jesus’ Precious Name!
A teenager was angry with his parents for interfering in his life. Whenever he comes home late at night, his mother sits and waits for him. Where did you go? asked the father. He did not like this. I'm an adult, why don't you leave me alone? Am I not free? Why are you interfering in my life? He said angrily.
On a Sunday morning he went to the church and attended the service on the compulsion of his parents. That day the pastor was talking about divine love. God intervenes in our lives because He loves us. If he leaves us to perish, we have no hope. The preacher was talking about the fact that we have hope because He intervened in our lives through the love of Calvary. Hearing this, the boy's eyes opened. Alas! My parents interfere in my life because they love me. Without knowing this, he had spoken to them.
Do you know how many times God's love has intervened in our lives? The divine love expressed through Christ on the cross of Calvary is a redeeming love, a love that poured out everything for us. Christ has done all that ought to be done to the extent that He can say that He can do nothing more. When we look to the cross, we see the love that has ransomed us by His precious blood. Will we surrender ourselves in exchange for that love? Will we look to the cross to be perfected in that love that never forsakes us? Let us grow in the love of Christ.
In His service,
J. Daniel Arulmani
